Introduction to our family

Since this is my first blog I thought I'd start out at the beginning of our family. September 10th, 2005 I married the most amazing man named Don Veik! For one year we grew together as a couple. On Don's birthday (September 26th), just one year after we got married, we found out that we had a new member of the family growing inside of me! We were so happy! Our daughter, Michelle Marie, was born on May 27th, 2007. Just three weeks earlier we lost my dad, Michael Manak. His death was completely unexpected. It's still difficult for me to deal with it just because I didn't have time to prepare myself let alone the chance to say goodbye. I miss him so much! We got pregnant with our second baby in October 2007 but we lost that baby after only about 6 weeks of gestation. We didn't know if that baby was a boy or a girl but we both had a feeling that the baby would have been a boy. We named him after my dad, Gabriel Michael Veik. The loss of that baby was pretty difficult to deal with just because I wasn't ready to deal with another death so soon after my dad's. I have learned that God makes good come from bad things though. Just over a month after the loss of Gabriel we conceived our son Samuel Joseph! Samuel was born on August 26th, 2008. I was able to deliver him without any drugs which was totally awesome for me after having to have Michelle c-section. About 4 months before we had our son we lost Don's dad, Ronald Joseph Veik. Ron died of cancer on April 17th, 2008. This, like my dad's death, was a pretty big shock to the family. Ron found out that he had cancer less than 2 months before he passed away. Since Ron's death we have moved in with my mom to help with bills, Don started a truck driving job at United Rentals, and I quit my job to stay home with the kids. Even though there have been a lot of tough times I really do love my life! I love my husband, I love my daughter, and I love my son!
